I hope everyone is doing well because I am doing really well here in Sibu. Missionary work in Sibu is growing slowly but we still need more time. I am putting all my efforts in helping the branch here. I hope that Puchong branch will continue to grow as well and not to forget, the worldwide church will continue to grow.
Do you know Ricky Woo? He came to Sibu chapel yesterday and he told me that he got the address from Sis Carol. And he said he knows you but doesn't know mummy or daddy! Mom & Dad, you need to start being active in the church! A lot of times people ask me whose son are you? I replied, Bro Tan/Sis Saffron and they have no idea ==". Anyway, Ricky Woo said he is from Puchong branch but I'd never seen him before and he told me the reason why I'd never seen him before is because he is a less active member. Haha. He took a picture of me and him and he said that he would bring it back to Puchong branch.
Recently, I'd been thinking a lot of ways that members can help do missionary work. And I remembered asking help from a member to help us in missionary work. She has met a lot of less active before and I asked her help if she would ask the less active's number or address the next time she meet any of it and pass it to us. It would really help us a lot. And this week, she passed me a less active's number. And I decided to call her and invite her to come to church. She hasn't been active for a long time but when I called her to come to church, she agreed and she came with her 2 kids. It is really amazing when everyone work together, we are able to achieve more. And yesterday in the branch meeting, I asked for the branch president's help to announce to the members that they can help do missionary work. If you spot a less active member, walked up to them, grab their number and address and pass it to us. I am hoping that by this method, we are able to retrieve more less actives back.
I am a Malaysian but I am very picky most of the time especially eating. Sarawak has lots of different fruits, every time members offer me different fruits, I would be like, I am not good in eating that or I have no idea what is that. They always jokingly tease me that even though I stay in West Malaysia, I'd never taste any of that. I told them, yea, I'd been eating apple my whole life and I have no idea what is that fruit and what is this fruit. It was so funny but I really have no idea what those fruits are.
I even think about the first thing that I would do when I come home from my mission. I will come home, lock the door and go to sleep for 3 nights in a row! I am always so sleepy and I don't know why. Missionaries and Senior couple here always call me either "sleepy head" or "sleepy boy". Hahaha.
Sorry, no pictures this week because you wrote me a short email :)

Elder Tan
