Week 15

There is transfer every 6 weeks which means missionaries will be transfer to certain areas. Thank goodness I am not being transferred but Elder Spendlove got transferred so you won't be seeing him in Puchong Branch anymore. I was actually so touched when some of the members offered to pray for me so that I will stay in Sibu. Looks like a lot more works need to be done. And I actually got invited to 4 Christmas parties organized by members this month. So, this month pretty much gonna be super fun. Several members here like blasting music in their house which is what I would normally do last time. I really miss listening to music so muchhhhh.

Anyway, looks like I am going to baptize someone this month but still, I love getting members back to church. To sum up the result of my operation called Lost 'N' Found. We actually found 20+ less active members. Some of them actually came back to church while the others, we are still working on them. But I am very confident that the moment the new chapel open in Sibu, its gonna be a very different story. More and more will come. The attendance for church yesterday was 54. The second time we reach over 50 since I came here. The first time was 57 attendance. I actually set a goal for 65 church attendance. I will continue the work that I have started which is bringing more less active back to church no matter what it takes.

Me, myself was a less active member before. I understand that less active members will play a really good role in the church. Like me, I can't believe I am on mission already. This is why I focus a lot on less active members but at the same time, I am still looking for new people. My companion said what if they are not progressing. I said, we'll do it. I am not gonna give up. I spent 2 months time on Gima's family to finally bring that family back to church. Anyway, I know that sometimes I am really stubborn on my decisions but I am really want these people to come back.

Oh btw, ask mom how much is rambutan and durian in West Malaysia because durian here in Sibu cost 50 cents only while 1kg of rambutan is RM1. People in Sibu said that this is the first time that they have lots of lots fruits. But, I still didn't really eat much durian and rambutan unless I have to because they are never my favorite.

Every night before I go to sleep, I looked back on the things that I have done in the afternoon and evening. Most of the times I question myself asking how did I managed to survive what I just went through but one surety I know is that Heavenly Father is always there to guide me. All I recalled is that I wake up in the morning and sleep at night. Right now, days seems to be like minutes or maybe seconds. I can't believe its Monday already. It seems that I just emailed you yesterday.

We visited a family last week and they were all members but apparently the son, Kennedy was having problem drinking. And his mom wants him to stop drinking. He used to smoke and drink but he stopped smoking and drinking when the elders taught him and eventually he was baptized. Later on, he picked up his old habit of drinking but not smoking because he said he doesn't feel like smoking anymore. And Kennedy wants to stop drinking and he is not addicted to drinking. He just drink whenever his friend come with alcohols. Plus he has a daughter which is 8y/o ready to be baptized anytime from now. I actually ask that if we can baptize his daughter. He agreed that we should baptized but I told him later that we are not gonna baptize but you yourself will have to baptize her. He thinks that he is unworthy but I told him that it's alright. We will guide you step by step so that you will be able to baptize her. He keeps insisting that I should baptize her but I told him, I am not gonna baptize your daughter, you have to baptize her. The way to start is to stop drinking and you have to stop drinking. He agreed but later on Saturday, we called the mom, and the mom said that the son is drunk again. Without hesitant, I cycled to the house. Upon reaching the house, I look straight on him while he was lying on the floor while his friend who made him drunk apologized to me. Sighhh. Then finally he was awake. We gave him a priesthood blessing. He was crying at that time. I told his mom, if there is anyone that come with alcohol again, call me. I am gonna come no matter where I am. And I told Kennedy, I am gonna come to your house everyday right now to make sure that you don't drink. He actually hugged and kiss my hand and neck == So now, we are still working with him so that he can baptize his own daughter.

I kinda recalled this few days ago. When I was small, I used to think what is gonna happen after we die. And what would happen to our family, the one who we live with for a long time. Are they gonna disappear after that or are they gonna reborn and be someone else. If that's it, that's pointless living and it wouldn't make any difference if I die now, the result would still be the same with dying later. But somehow, after learning about the gospel in LDS church, the thought disappear because learn that after we die, family will be together forever. Many will not believe that family will be together forever. What if it's true? I know that it's true. It's is always part of God's plan that family can be together forever.
