Life is full of give and take. Give thanks and take nothing for granted.

Things can change really fast within minutes, hours, or even days. I remembered the last time I saw my grandma which is last Sunday after my church. My ah ma was still doing good as usual. Lying on the chair watching her favorite movie all day long. In just a day, things turned up really bad. Maybe it was her destiny to leave this world.

The moment I entered ah ma's house, the atmosphere is filled with very strong sadness. Part of me wanted to cry so badly, part of me is comforting myself to be strong. I looked at my ah ma lying on the bed death. I touched her leg talking to myself, Ah ma, are you there? No responses. I touched her hand, talking to myself again, Ah ma, where are you? No responses again. This time, I touched her forehead, talking to myself, Ah ma, please wake up! Still no responses!

Maybe I was too naive, this kind of miracle only happen in movie and not in real life. Sigh! All this time, I never thought this kind of incident would happen. Life is really full of surprises. And I don't like any of these surprises!

Ah ma, you never keep you word. You said you would see me get married! Never mind. I'll forgive you this time. I'll bring my future wife to see you in your graveyard like I promised you.

I heard lots of stories about my ah gong and ah ma from my mom. Long time ago, when ah gong and ah ma got married. Ah gong always come home and help ah ma does the housekeeping like sweeps the floor and etc. Until then, people start moving in staying next door. The men staying next door always criticize ah gong for being too obedient to wife. Ever since then, things change. Ah gong never help ah ma does the housekeeping. Instead, ah gong always hit ah ma after drinking alcohol with his with jerk men. (Now you tell me whats the benefit of drinking alcohols?) Since then, ah gong always hit ah ma and scolded her after drinking alcohols with his bunch of nasty friends.

Few years ago, ah ma got admitted to hospital several times nearly losing her life but thankfully she overcame it. Since then, I started noticing that ah gong change the way he treats ah ma. I can really see ah gong treats ah ma sincerely taking good care of her.

Few days back, this is the first time I had seen ah gong so down and so sad. I really hope he will stand back up again.

Happy Birthday Ah Ma.
Never thought it would come to this step.
Rest in peace ah ma.
This is a big family of mine.

I definitely sense some regrets in my ah gong's heart. What if he never consumes alcohol heavily and put his pride down at that time, they would probably have more great times in their life. I did not say alcohol is bad but I would certainly not say alcohol is good. A friend of mine asked me, why didn't you drink some alcohol? I said, tell me, what's the benefits of drinking alcohols. Sadly, he couldn't even named one.

I definitely learnt a lot from this incident. In life, people enter your life people leave your life. You definitely don't want any regretful moment in your life. You never know when will people leave you but what you can do is, appreciate them. Put down your pride man! The world has changed now, woman and man are on the same level right now.

Last but not least, ah gong take care please! Ah ma, please at least let me know where are you and rest in peace.
