Week 83

Hey Family,

I will try to send the pictures later because this computer wouldn't let me send the pictures. Sigh. The most annoying thing that you will ever encounter because it is the second time in a row. Anyway, I couldn't remember we ever go to Malacca for Ching Ming in the past? Do we have ancestors that are buried in Malacca? I tried the satay steamboat twice! Once on my birthday and once with one of the member from Penang! It was really good! And definitely not very cheap. Let me tell you what else is good in Malacca! It is Roti Tampal!! The best I ever had and nobody really know where it is. Hahah. Definitely miss Roti Tampal the most because I have yet to find any good Roti Tampal that is better than the one in Malacca.

I am starting to write down things I need to do after mission, things I need to buy after mission and some self-commitments after mission. Maybe I will share some of my self-commitments first and it will kinda give you some idea what I will do and you could remind me if you don't ever see me do later. Some of my self-commitments are to read scriptures every morningpray everydayrenew my covenant every week in other word, do not miss sacrament meeting in the church and be worthy at all time

Transfer is today and most likely I wont get transferred because President Mains love calling the Zone Leaders personally to thank them for their service and tell them their next area on the phone. President Mains did called us to tell us about some changes in our zone but it looks like I am staying. Frankly speaking, I have lost so much motivation for the past few weeks because of some issues where things that are done by the missionaries that are not very well appreciated by the members and that kinda demotivate me a lot. I remembering praying to Heavenly Father if this is thy will for me to stay here, I will promise to renew my desire, motivation and start getting things done again. And it looks like I have to fulfill what I commit with Heavenly Father because I am counted as transgressor if I do not act upon the revelation that I received.

We had branch council yesterday with the branch. It seems like a lot of them love to focus on the past of an individual rather than solution. I raise up a point where history of an individual is a good information for us but if someone has a desire in changing, it is our job to help him and also it is our job to help change someone too. To be honest, I am getting more and more bold with members now when it comes to discussing in branch council, judging is definitely not any of our job.

The other thing that we brought up in branch council is fellowshipping. Apparently the members thought we were talking about family home evening. Fellow shipping means you sit by an investigators/less actives in sacrament and in class and you help answer questions that they have. We suggested that the branch start fellowship training because that's what makes people love the church and stay in the church. Unless we understand the importance of fellowshipping, people will come and go. At least this is what I feel. I am pushing the responsibilities back to the members. I have seen so many people fall away and I feel so bad for those who have fall away.

Our area is getting smaller and smaller. We used to have Tudan Phase 6 and we went into that area to locate the members. Non of the missionaries are able to find them because it is such a maze in that area. And I am lucky enough to find them because I know how to the house system in Miri. Apparently Tudan Phase 6 is Miri 1's area and I transferred more than 20+ members into Miri 1.

Bro Kenny and Sister Juliza is getting baptized in 3 more weeks! Bro Kenny told me a stories where one of his friend bought his favorite cigarette which is RM12 and try to tempt him in front of him. His friend pulled out one the cigarette and he was about to grab it and he heard a phone call. It was my companion! Then he realized he isn't suppose to smoke. Another situation which is in his house when he was about to smoke and I called and he put away his cigarette. I have no idea why we called but that was our plan to help him progress which is to follow up every single night. We are definitely happy now because he stops smoking completely already but one thing that we are lacking is fellowshipping from the branch.

Please remember to fulfill your responsibilities as a church member. Every responsibilities is an opportunities of learning and growing. Always look from the positive sides. Negativity will not change anything but to worsen everything.
