Week 60

Hello,
I will be training in Malacca and I headed down to Singapore last Thursday by bus to pick up my trainee. This is the 3rd time it happen to me. Ohmygoshh. I guess I will be stuck in Malacca for the next 3 months. In other word, you will see me in KL District Conference! I guess I am the only missionary around the world that have the opportunity to see my family and my fellow branch members while I am on my mission. One minute, I guess I would be the second because Elder Koay went back to KL when he was an Assistant President. It was my first experience bus-ing into Singapore through Johor Bahru. I have to say that I am learning a lot of new experience. From didn't really use any public transport to using a lot of public transport. I used to have hard time using public transport because they are not that good. I still don't now. I am taking public transport because I have no choice. LOL

Guess who is my trainee? He is Elder Lee from Singapore. This is my second asian companion and I am definitely liking it a lot. I will be training him for 3 months hopefully and then he will prepare himself to enter Provo MTC and then serve in Belgium. He is just temporarily serving in Malaysia.

First time biking with him is so hilarious because he asked a lot of question like, is there a bicycle path on the road? are the cars gonna hit us because we are taking one lane of the car? and so many. I replied him that the road rules is not that strict in Malaysia. Just do it! You gonna have to be like Malaysian now.

Currently, there are 12 companionship in KL Zone or in other word, 24 missionaries in KL Zone. Elder Holbrook is another set of missionaries serving here in Malacca with me. He is a trainee but definitely the best trainee I have seen throughout my mission. There is a blogspot that has a collection of all the blog of missionaries  serving in Singapore. I don't even know how my blog got up there. Its in www.singaporemission.blogspot.com

We continue to receive even more referrals now which mean more people to teach. Girl (Robinia) is doing so good in passing me this referrals. I recently contacted Yee Wei and kinda like talk to her what am I doing now. She thought I was still in Sarawak. I have a really good talk with her and both of her friends. Apparently they are going back to their own hometown next week and I won't be seeing them until they come back which is on 10 November. I did a lot of explaining back there and I remember telling her, do not think that I am trying to convert you into Christianity but I want you to learn why my family got converted into Christianity and I told her to remember to call me if there is anything happen because I am her closest relative in Malacca and her mom would kill me if I don't take of her. I am trying a different approach now.

I am actually very reluctant to contact Yee Wei because I feel weird sharing to people I know. But the more I feel like not doing it, the more I want to force myself to come out from that comfort zone. I don't even think I would have problem sharing with my friends if I ever bump into them in Puchong.

Girl (Robinia), now that you have a calling, you need to really help out in the Young Women class. Know that it is your responsibility and you cannot run away from your responsibility. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with even though I am not from Young Women but I have taught several classes in Young Women.

Please continue to to do well.
