Week 29

During Mission Tour, President Mains announced to all the missionaries in helping Malaysia working to get a stake like in the States. And when that happen, we are no longer called as branch but ward just like in BYUH. When there is a stakes, It also mean that the members are a lot stronger than before. I'd seen the statistics and we need a lot MORE MELCHIZIDEK HOLDER!! So, I am hoping to see huge growth in this several years.

Guess what? Transfer happen this morning. Elder Corob is gonna leave while Elder Scott is gonna replace him. In addition to that, 2 more missionaries will be serving in Puchong. They are Elder Smith and one new missionaries. So there will be 4 missionaries in Puchong. And when you see Elder Smith, tell him that Elder Tan say annyeonghaseyo!

In addition to the transfer news, I am sorry mom but I am going to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah! I'd never requested or anything. It just happen. Tell Eddy, Ian, June and Angelo that I am going to Sabah!! I'd heard that they are going back to Sabah around June? Keep me updated please. And Elder Loke and Elder Teh will be coming to Sibu. Elder Loke is going to be new Zone Leader while Elder Teh is gonna take care of my branch with another set of missionaries. In other words, 4 missionaries in Sibu 2nd for 6 weeks. I am very very excited looking forward to go to Sabah!

Elder Gong talks about differences between act and being acted upon.

James E. Faust quoted something I really like
We live in a time when many want to avoid the responsibility for their acts.

I know that the fruit that was mention above is the gospel and I truly feel a great joy in my life from this gospel. Right now, I desire that my family should partake of it also. I do it because I love each one of you in my family. I hope and pray that we all should start reading from Book of Mormon.

Do not think that I am trying to be mean by pushing you all so hard but try to ponder on 1 Nephi 8 story. And this is exactly what I felt right now,

12 And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great ajoy; wherefore, I began to be bdesirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was cdesirable above all other fruit.

Each one of you are always in my prayer. Good luck!

Regards,
Elder Tan

It's a real sword lahhhh

With Sis Sebie's family. Her family became less active because of some problems but we manage to reactivate them back!

And because Sis Sebie came back to church, her sister followed her, which mean 2 less active families reactivated
