Week 19

The past week has been really busy, I mean really busy. This is pretty much my schedule for every day. Lunch and then leave the house for appointments/tracting or whatever at 12:30pm and come back home at 9pm.

Recently, Elder Reid and me reopen an area, Sungai Bidut where there are 3 recent converts staying there but had gone inactive already. I was warned earlier by several members not to go to Sungai Bidut as most of the people there are alcoholics but on Wednesday our appointments got canceled and we have nothing and nobody to visit so we decided to go check on the area despite warning from members. On that particular day, we found 15 new investigators! Wanting to follow up on these newly found investigators, we went back to Sungai Bidut and we found another 13 new investigators which sum up to 28 new investigators. I can't promise 28 new investigators would choose to be baptized but I am willing to work hard on at least half of the number.

We have been going forth and back from Sungai Bidut for the past several days. Because Sungai Bidut was located across the river, as a result we have to take a ferry over to Sungai Bidut which cost only 30cents.

Plus, we have District Conference on Saturday and Sunday and a baptism on Saturday which mean even busier. And my Mission President, President Mains along with 2 his assistant, Elder Steadman and Elder Callister were here for the District Conference. And I have an opportunity last week to go on split with 2 different elder, Elder Fabiano(Chinese speaking) and Elder Callister. Frankly speaking, teaching with them increase my ability on how to teach better but I am still not satisfy with myself yet as I felt that something is missiing. And I have heard a lot about one of my zone leader who is really good at teaching, Elder Christian and Elder Loke. So I am pretty much looking forward to go teach with them one day and hopefully I am able to fill up the missing gap in my teaching skill.

According to President Mains, currently there are over 59,000 missionaries serving the world. Few weeks ago, I checked on the statistics and at that time it was 56,000. He also said that on June/July, I couldn't remember, there would be 70,000 missionaries worldwide. And this information according to the missionary department. The Lord has hasten his works and I am glad that I am part of it.

Speaking of missionary work, I have never know the whole story of how we met the missionaries but I remembered mummy bringing 2 missionaries home. So, please help ask mom how she met the missionaries.

This week is gonna be really busy and is gonna require a lot of hard works as well. So, keep working and all the best to everyone.
